This was the first time that we as Siyavula had tried anything like this before - to write a textbook in weekend! We can safely say that everyone who participated was immensely proud of what we had accomplished by Sunday afternoon. We have also learnt a lot about how to plan, structure and facilitate future events of this nature.

The Life Sciences Grade 10 textbook started with a group of volunteers, consisting of educators, postgraduates, technical support staff and other various professionals, who came together for a weekend to produce the first draft. But it does not stop there! We are calling on the broader community to now get involved and contribute in any way that you can.
