I am writing to say a big congratulation for writing FHSST books and as well as the Siyavula school textbooks that are free for download as open educational resources. You and your team and contributors are doing wonderful job, and I am saying job well for writing books that are presented in a learners-friendly fashion. Your books are tools by which teachers can teach learners how to effectively solve and reason through scientific questions while identifying fundamental concepts. We need people like you in the world, who also want to make a difference to others. Lately, I came to conclude that it is time we as South African stop attributing our government and specifically the Department of Basic Education for education system that faces lot of challenges but rather we must start doing something positive that will improve our education system. I believe that lately our Government have been open and acknowledge that indeed our education system is not preparing the Matriculants we all as a country desire to have certain skills, knowledge and values. And surely your work and books are the solution to challenges we have in our education system.”

Just a word of thanks for the textbooks Everything Maths and Everything Science. I have downloaded both these textbooks for Gr10 in Afrikaans. My son is currently in Gr 10 and we are working through both of these textbooks. It is easy to follow and to understand and is CAPS compliant! I have purchased other books that are not nearly as easy to understand and follow and only cover some of the topics. Thank you again! – Veda Grimbeek
